This family was asking for a lot, and the
budget was tight. We saved thousands of dollars by compromising in
several ways. We installed birch hardwood flooring rather than the
ceramic tile originally requested. We minimized the custom cabinetry
sizes, and kept the door profile simple. And rather than using granite
of on all of the countertops, we simply used it as a focal point on the
island.
